Mets beat yanks!

Spoken like a true excited Met fan.

Yanks win, break series even.

Another 7 inning start by Pedro wasted.....

btw... at the pace Johnson is on he'll still win 20 games. So his era is a bit high... but it's only 10 starts into the season and Johnson is notorious for not being able to warm up quick and cools down during a game. Wait till the summer heat builds and Johnson gets in the groove.... He'll be mid 3's era and win at least 17-18 if he stays healthy.

I gotta tell ya, I've been watching Johnson and I never seen him look so weak and feeble. High ERA? It's gotta be near 6 now. Jeez Maybe he needs some of them steriods. I wonder if roids could help a big lanky goon like that. Hey when did all the Mets fans come out of the closet? The bar I was at erupted with cheering and clapping when the Mets won Friday. Usually these crowds are dominated by Yanks fans. So when will Clemens arrive at Yankee stadium?

Diehard yankee fan, but I hate to say it... RJ is done. He's gotta change his game. He's no longer the 100mph power pitcher the teams once feared. Back in the days, when his team scored 3-4 runs, you knew RJ would get the W because the opponent would be lucky to get 1 run. Now, teams are not intimidated.

I don't know why Yanks didn't go for a young stud pitcher like Beckett during the offseason when he was available. Always loved Beckett, aside from his many blister problems, this kid can pitch. I hope Yanks would pursue Dontrell Willis as Florida fire sale continues.

The Yankees didn't seal a deal for Beckett because he was only available to the team that would take Lowell as well. It would have been an unecessary contract and Lowell had a horrible offensive season last year. Even if he had a decent season, where would they have put him?

Yeah, he might be a little too pricey to be a bench utility infielder (even for the Yanks). Definitely need to do something with this staff tho. Can't keep bringing in these 40+yo dudes on. Who we getting next year Jamie Moyer?

As bad as he's been looking, Johnson might not be done. He's still at about 94 mph. If his location gets better, 94 mph from a big lanky fuck like that is tough to hit. With that long broomstick arm of his, his release point is about 15 feet from home plate.

Mets should have swept the last series. But hey, 2 outa 3 isn't bad. I'll take that against the Skankees (I mean Yankees) anytime. It's going to be interesting when we go back to Yankee stadium facing a better Yankee lineup with Sheffield. Let's hope Cliffy starts hitting soon.

Fuckin' Arod only knows how to hit HRs when the game is out of reach. Arod should be jealous of Jeter. Jeter time and time again comes up in the clutch. Arod fuckin' smacks a HR when the score is like 9-1. Yanks will not win championships with Arod on the team. The guy is just a jinx. The get me wrong, the guy can play and definitely second player in the league next to Pujols, but we will not win championships with Arod!

Finally another yankee fan who agrees with me, A-rod is a fucking joke, i had a jersey made that says Gay-Rod on the back, the fucking yanks traded my beloved Soriano for a fucking scrub he is like a cancer to the yankees, cant do anything for them, he is an amazing athlete but he is a cancer what should the yankees do with the cancer cut it out, trade him for a pitcher, teams will be interested as the yankees and texas would pick up much of his salary,

just my two cents

and as well as the mets are playing dont expect them to play this well later in the season when they come to the bronx it is still a little premature to count out the braves and the mets are known chokers

Next to maybe not making more of an effort to resign Petite, I still hold true to my claim that the biggest mistake the Yankees made was trading for A-Rod instead of using that salary money to sign Manny when he was a free agent. I've been laughed at and made fun of for that statement for years. Despite all of Manny's antics that the press jumps on, the guy does nothing but produce in the clutch. Look at his numbers in the playoffs compared to A-Rod. The guy is probably hands down the greatest run producer in the past 20 years, bar none. When it matters, Manny comes through. A-Rod hits into double plays when it matters.

And Manny is a better left fielder than people think. Sure, he's been unhappy and dogged it a few plays and the press has villified him for that, but let me ask you this: is A-Rod any better with the glove at third? He's horrible. It's now his third year playing the position and he's running out of excuses.

Manny is more of a team player that you might think. When Shilling criticized him, the majority of his Red Sox teammates stuck up for him and wanted him to stay. He's more popular in the clubhouse than the press makes him out to be.

Ok, he's got funny dreadlocks and his uniform is two sizes too big and he marches to the beat of his own drummer. He wouldn't fit into Steinbrenner's fascist conformist regime? A-Rod, if you take a good look, has stupid blonde highlights in his hair and wears ridiculous purple lipstick.

Shoulda passed on A-Rod and signed Manny.

The Big Eunuch can still get it up in the high 90s, so speed isn't his problem. I guess his arm isn't doing whatever it used to do to get the movement on the ball he used to have.

The names 'Randy Johnson' and 'A-Rod' sound like gay porn stars.

David Ortiz

Joe Torre,

How many fucking times can one guy burn you before you even think about not giving him anything to hit or at least not another low fastball?

My prediction for tonights Sox/Yankee game is that Ortiz gets two RBIs. I know I'm going out on a limb here, really taking a risk with that prediction.

Even thought Wright burned them in the first game, I was shocked Torre intentionally walked Delgado. Apparently Delgado needs to be walked but Ortiz doesn't.

As for you Met fans, those two victories must have been bittersweet. The Mets played great, but showed they aren't going to be successful in the post-season with Wagner closing games. And why in the world is Matsui still playing second base?

I'm a Yankee fan, but I have to say that Delgado is awesome. He's an incredibly bright, articulate guy, that deals with the media with nothing but a smile on his face. He does nothing but belt home runs precisely when they are badly needed and doesn't wear purple lipstick or blonde highlights.

why would you walk ortiz with many batting right behind him, oh lets just tell many that we think he is not as good a player, that is when manny will def look to hit the ball out of the park,

on the Big UNIT he needs to correct his issues if he can, because the games where he starts are games that i dread to watch and i watch every single yankee game, we should start callin him the BIG PROBLEM

Have you ever heard of the games being fixed for the sport betters?

here's a bone for the yankee fans....

A-Rod will never be the winner Jeter is. and if A-Rod was on the yankees i can think of 2 world series the yankees wouldn't have won. intangibles mean more than any stat you can dig up..... jeter and yount have them...A-Rod doesn't.
