OETT,
Trust me, that's not it. Get out a calculator and try it yourself. ( Although MY EE prof would have a shit fit if anyone used a calculator for 3 rows/3 columns addition ).

APFH, deleted posts count in the subtotals but not in the grand total. There are 9 extant posts out of the 12 historical posts in the "need something for today" folder. The other 3 were straight fastballs to McGwire.

Umm... well so far we've gotten a new k at 1/1 month, 1/2 month, and 1/3 month...

7.5 days, 6 days, 5 days??? Somehow I doubt it.

Still, a guess of 7 or 8 days for the next point doesn't seem that far off. Then maybe a few week long intervals. Who knows? I'm a topologist.

this makes 133 posts in the past 24 hours. assuming some drop-off on the weekend because we don't have as much time to kill when we're not at the office, we're pretty much on track for 8 days and change to hit 4k.

the 24-hour figure is in: 118

this compares with 133 for the prior 24 hours.

at an average 125+ posts per day for the 2-day period, we are still on track to hit 4000 by next thursday evening.

as of 4pm, the 24-hour total is 29. this is obviously an 'outlier', due to its spanning late saturday afternoon to sunday afteroon.
