My urologist recommended a supplement called Prostate PQ from Therologix. It is not cheap, but it has really worked for me. I've had prostate issues from a younger age, included some bad infections at least once a year and since I've been taking this I've had no issues.
glad to hear that you feel that Prostate PQ worked out for you.
Yes indeed, as you posted it is not cheap $124 for 90 day supply.
It contains Quercetin, a plant pigment is a potent antioxidant flavonoid a found mostly in onions, grapes, berries, cherries, broccoli, and citrus fruits. This is where I get mine. Also cauliflower and brussel sprouts.
It also has rye grass flower pollen extract where "Laboratory studies show that pollen extracts act uniquely on prostate cells by selectively inhibiting their growth. In fact, one study showed that pollen extracts are almost equally as effective as the prescription drug finasteride"
I don't take rye grass flower pollen extract but I do take prescription finasteride (I take half a tablet or 5mg/2 every other day. Prescribed to me by my urologist and it brought my PSA from 5.0 down to 0.8.) Cost is $5 copay for 360 day supply.
Couple of differences between my approach and yours (besides cost):
1. I enjoy onions, grapes, berries, cherries, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and citrus fruits.*
2. My urologist probable doesn't get any of my $5 copay per year for recommending finasteride whereas yours probably gets part of your $496 per 360 day supply cost for Prostate PQ**
*I oven roast brussel sprouts, cauliflower, onions and garlic mixed with a little extra virgin olive oil. The roasting causes them to caramelize bringing out sweet and nutty flavors.
