Is this the first time you are using the cam? Yahoo messenger should auto detect your cam. Click My webcam under messenger tab. I am not sure if this helps but your question is not clear.

What operating system?
Have you ever had your laptop wiped and the OS reinstalled?
Does it work with MSN or Skype?
Are there any webcam applications preinstalled on the laptop that it works with?
More info the better.

You have to have the proper drivers and software to allow your web cam to work. You may be able to install them from the disk that came with your laptop, or you might have to go to your computer's mfgr web site and down load them from there and install them.

You might only have to go to device manager (assuming you have a windows computer) and enable your web cam.
