Don't know if this is the right spot, but I know that fake pics are a constant plague on the LI board (if not everywhere).
With that in mind, I came across "Search By Image For Google". With this add-on, all you do is go to a BP ad, right click on the pic in question and at the bottom it will say "Search Image on Google." Click that and a new window will open and all uses of the pic will be there.
It's not re-inventing the wheel, but it makes checking the validity of a pic a little easier.
