Not a lot to report here. Decided to spend my nights at a strip club called Scarlett's where there were a number of very attractive ladies but precious little mileage (so shoot me...).
But I did come across a couple of handy resources that I'll consult on my next trip to the Windy City.
NOTE: No rules violation intended here. Obviously, I'm not shilling for these resources and given the dearth of info on this board re: Chicago, I figured it might be worth sharing these.
The Chicago Reader
An awesome alternative newspaper, with a (scant) half page of ads. This paper's been around forever, and is worth picking up for the great journalism. Also boasts an ***** newsletter for adult services ads that may be worth signing up for. [Apparently, you have to pay for electronic access/***** distribution. What a rip! Guess they've gotta make money somehow. (Note to Slinky: is there a replicable business model here?)]
Chicago After Dark
A pathetic little rag exclusively featuring escort and spa ads. Still, that's what I was looking for. Found it on the last possible day, when it was utterly useless to me. The site seems pretty weak; the print version, available at Scarlett's and I assume elsewhere, is titillating, at least.
New City Chicago
And finally New City, which was another alternative weekly, considerably weaker than the Reader, but worth triangulating one's research. (Can't seem to locate adult services online, but then again I didn't try very hard.)
I was one of those pain in the asses who calls places but doesn't buy (at least on this trip.) A couple of the incalls were citing prices in the $80 range, so I suspect a lot of tipping required. Couldn't get a bead on the tips, so I decided to pass. A few indies were trackable, but I didn't take the plunge. Maybe next time.
