Antonio Brown Saga

After a firsthand look thinking there goes am other entitled athlete grandstanding for some attention, the headlines and some of his fellow teammates suggested AB has some behavioral issues going on I looked at the situation differently-

Today article in the NYP suggest just the opposite- AB claims he was legitimately hurt and was being forced to play by Coach/Staff

I suppose if he wants any chance of signing with a new team, he’ll have to put ( or his attorneys) a new spin in it..

What ever happened to the greats of the old days- They played, injured or not, until they were carted off the field..

Different sport, but Cal Ripken comes to mind.

Brown is a piece of shit. He claims his ankle was hurting him, but he looked fine to me doing jumping jacks while waving to the fans and jogging off the field.

All to try and save face in hopes of 1 more team will give him a chance. If he couldn't keep it together with Brady in his corner he won't last with anyone. He bites anyone that tries to feed him. Any team who gives this skel another shot is insane.

Fuck "Doo Doo Brown" and his butt boy L'eveon Bell

Total PR spin. Mental illness? As someone who’s battled with it and has had to deal with it in an ex-wife, I call bullshit. It’s now the easiest way to get people off your back. Try and disprove that he has mental illness struggles! Fucking entitled prick.

His Daffy Duck-like exit did him absolutely no favors if he wants back in the league. Wonder how he's going to handle anonymity once everyone stops paying attention to him.

The article also said that an MRI showed broken bone fragments in his ankle, confirmed by the Tampa Bay Times stating the hospital and doctors involved. If true, it looks bad for Tampa Bay and makes AB a victim.

Doesn’t make TB look bad necessarily, only if it’s proven it was broken before the game. Teams must out players in the injured list each week so I doubt he was injured to that extent prior to the game. And if he was, I doubt it was known.

I agree-
If they knew about it prior to the game, the liability would be tremendous

Quoting an article just released

"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have terminated the contract of Antonio Brown, effective immediately. While Antonio did receive treatment on his ankle and was listed on the injury report the week leading up to last Sunday’s game, he was cleared to play by our medical team prior to the start of the game and at no point during the game did he indicate to our medical personnel that he could not play. We have attempted, multiple times throughout this week, to schedule an evaluation by an outside orthopedic specialist, yet Antonio has not complied. Maintaining the health and wellness of our players is of the utmost importance to our organization," the team said.”

Let’s see where this goes next

He quit on the team.
They were getting their ass kicked.
However he has not been the same since taking the hit in the head from Cincinnati’s Vontaze Buffict

Now he’s got this Ava Louis telling everyone that she was snuck into his hotel room the night before to have 30 seconds of sex. Claims she has Covid and posted the test on her IG story avalouiis. She is a known liar and certified nut job. Got her “only fans fame” buy licking toilet seats in order to catch Covid. Has been caught lying about interactions with a few celebrities including Kanye. But with AB, nothing is off the table, so who knows

I really don't know but when we played the saying was everyone on this team plays hurt. BTW images of Rickey Henderson comes to mind, always claiming he was injured until the year his contract was coming up then he turned into Superman LOL

He certainly is a loose screw in every teams’ machinery, acting upon his whims, and with no consideration for team, teammates, organization, coaching staff, NFL. His out-of-control ego is his worst enemy.

On the positive side, he plays the game with skill and precision, always in great shape, and can make the big play.

But, at 33, he should have developed some control over his ego and his nonsense is a huge disruption.

He was worth it last year, when Brady housed him and mentored him, and AB behaved well and made some big plays.

His latest fiasco really sealed his fate. His team was down, losing to the lowly Jets, and he added to the dismay by his ridiculous antics, and despite his best efforts to display his ego and sabotage his team’s chances of winning, they won, without him, in grandiose fashion.

I am sure that he had enough of the game, at 33, but he might find it impossible to live his flamboyant lifestyle with no NFL money.

Tampa Bay does have a history of mistreating players, and Bruce Ariens has also cut players for minor infractions. Personally, no one in this saga (perfect word choice) has credibility.

- Bruce Arians said he wasn't aware of any ankle injury, but he had AB listed as Questionable to play as of Friday. There are also texts between AB and Arians in which it's quite clear he's aware of the ankle injury.

- Arians is also a bit of a liar with regards to AB in the past. When they signed him he said AB would be on the shortest leash with any disruptions getting him canned. Well AB faked his vaccination card putting Arians himself at risk as well as many others on the team, and was rightfully suspended. Did Arians keep his word and immediately cut AB? Nope. He decided it would be "in the best interests of the team" to keep him. You can't make this shit up.

- AB is a piece of shit in human form. This doesn't really require any further explanation. He did look fine running routes that day and his ankle didn't seem bother him as he was doing jumping jacks in the end zone while his team was playing a game.

Itself an awful look for AB, but it doesn't discount that his ankle was hurt and getting worse. After all, players play through pain all the time looking just fine. Let's keep in mind that doing some jumping jacks isn't the same as relying on the ankle for explosiveness at the line of scrimmage.

- Tampa Bay cut a kicker who contracted staph infection at one of their facilities, claiming it couldn't have happened there, despite others getting staph infection at said facility. The Kicker sued the team they ultimately settled out of court.

- Of course, for all teams, players are just chattel. They talk a beautiful game about protecting them and making sure they don't play injured, but that's exactly what they expect of each and every single one of their players.

Bottom line is we'll likely never know exactly what was said between the two on the sidelines. Did AB made the trainer aware of his ankle worsening during the game? AB quit on his team in the middle of a game in the most disrespectful way possible.

Statistical incentives are the ultimate conflict of interest. If you need 5 more catches and x yards to make a million $ and there is one game left is the QB who is your buddy going to keep throwing you the ball even tho the game situation calls for a running play ?

The Antonio Browns of the game imho are spoiled entitled athletes who bring nothing to the table, nothing to the game-They sell headlines.

Reading an article today in the NYP- A young boy attended Tampa Bay game sometime ago - He is a brain cancer survivor and held up a sign saying something to the effect that Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer..
( spiritualty, emotionally )

Brady, inspired presented the bot and his family Super Bowl tickets..

There are some who dislike Brady…

I think he is in a class of his own. His love of the game, his charitable donations and so forth

There are plenty of Bradys in all professional sports. There should be more of him and less Antonio Brown’s
