I can't tell you how much I agree with FlirtyWifeChristine's approach.

In what way?

When I see a slick photo, I immediately assume the subject doesn't look that good IRL -- and also assume that if the subject were actually really attractive, she wouldn't need slick photography.

I mean, I could probably hire a professional photographer to take a photograph of even myself that wouldn't look completely disgusting.

The only photos I ever credit are the ones that look at least slightly amateurish.

Hey.. Alex here (Christine's Hubby).

IMO, Christine is the most beautiful woman on the face of the planet (ok, i may be slightly biased)

However, lets assume I am right, then the best photos will set an expectation that meets what she is. met expectation = good, right?

Well, "beauty" is highly subjective and varies greatly from person to person.

Is "good" good enough when it comes to setting an expectation?

We don't think so.

We deeply believe that it is far better to EXCEED ones expectations than to just meet them. In doing so, we set a "tone" for the entire session that so far, has always played out positively.
