You don't know what they're gonna have to pay until Piccards investigation and hunt for money is complete. Apparently there doesn't seem to be a lot on hidden money left for him to find and the Wilpons will have to make up the difference up to the 162 mil figure. But what about all those bank loans they took out and the money their buddy Selig lent them to keep the Mets afloat which has to be paid off. And what about the billion or so in notes they still owe on for building "Shitty Field". The 162 mil is a drop in the bucket compared to everything else they own.

So that's 25 million to MLB and another 40 to Bank of America.... Gee, only a billion or so left to pay for the ball park.
Hey.. when the Jets fans run Tebow out of town after a few pass attempts maybe the Mets can sign him to put fannies back in the seats. They can hold bible reading nights or give away free gideons. Cause it's gonna take a lot more than a 50 cent bump for hotdogs to pay off Shitty Field when there's only 12 thousand die hards showing up a night.
