This thread is amazing to me in more ways than one. Nassau and Suffolk really used to be quite sleazy! I guess with the outrageous taxes we pay, it had to get cleaned up a bit? To see all these places from yesteryear, and to see how few there are today, all forced closed and razed, makes me dislike long Island even more. Sad.

This was a god place - I remember going there a few times - problem was that it was quite the drive.
