American heading to Tokyo -- in need of some info..

Just discovered this community. Great idea!

Am headed to Tokyo in late May. Never been. Don't like brothels of any kind, only incall/outcall escorts.

Does anyone know what the "scene" is like in Tokyo? From some research I've done I've seen some extraordinarily beautiful women (I'm not into Asian women, ironically - but they do have tons of beautiful European women)...
However there is no way for me to verify a bait and switch. Is this something I should worry about in Tokyo?
Also the general level of service.. does it meet or exceed the GFE standard?

If anyone has any insights into the private escort scene in Tokyo I'd be forever grateful. Also any specific agencies or girls would be great help.

Cheers!

"I sat down to my supper, twas a bottle of red whisky,
said my prayers and went to bed, that's the last they saw of me."

DireWolf98,

I love all your posts and, especially, the musical references. I'd like to relate a story told to me by my former business partner. He had to go to Tokyo for a week to close a business deal. On his first day, when he went to the offices of his hosts, he was introduced to a beautiful Japanese woman who spoke perfect English. He was told that she would be his guide while he was in Japan. She attended all of their meetings and translated for him (he said that his hosts understood English perfectly, but were almost impossible to understand when they spoke), and when there weren't business meetings, she showed him around, drove him to tourist sites, had dinner with him, went shopping, etc. Essentially, she was his constant companion while he was in Japan. On his last night, after a farewell party when the deal had been concluded, she drove him back to his hotel and he decided to make his move and was surprised when he "got lucky." The next day, when he saw his host to say goodbye, he related what had gone on and his host looked embarrassed and told him that the girl was a [some Japanese word he couldn't remember] and was essentially intended to be his companion while in Japan in every sense, and that the host and his associates assumed that he knew that and that he was having sex with the girl all along. Although he was kicking himself for his missed opportunity, he was still quite pleased. Do you have any idea what that service is called? I plan to visit Japan next year and would love to have a "tour guide with benefits." ;)

That quote choice was too easy and obvious. How about this one:

"Copperdome bodhi drip a silver kimono,
Like a crazy quilt stargown through a dream night wind."

That's a first for me. I'm not sure of the exact term, other than "hostess."

I have to say, I am surprised that your friend mentioned "getting lucky" to his business associates on the other side of the equation. It could have endangered the deal.

Well the story could have gotten enhanced/mangled in the retelling, but I'm pretty sure that the deal had closed before that farewell dinner, because it did go through. I forgot to mention one more element, which is that my ex-partner had no idea, until that conversation at the end of his trip, that this woman was a pro (if that's what she was). He assumed she worked for the company that he was visiting. Maybe they just assume that all Americans need constant female attention.

Depending upon the nature of the deal, situation and the relations between the two companies, using an escort/tour guide could be an effective way to gather intelligence from another company. Many things can slip during pillow talk. It could also be used as a pretext to nix a deal if things don’t work out. That's my guarded/suspicious opinion.

It’s good that your friend walked away with the deal and nailed a J-Girl as a bonus. That’s the best of all worlds.

Back in the day before I ever hobbied, around 1990, I went on a business trip to The Philippines with my boss, who had been there many times. On around the third day, he said he was scheduling a massages for both of us. I envisoned and hoped it would be with some young sexy Filipina, and when we went to our destination, the worst thing possible happened. My boss (who had a black heart, and loved to bust chops) had us massaged by a couple of guys that could have passed for Sumo wrestlers. This guy about killed me. And then, my last day there, he sets me up with a gal from the factory who was reasonably attractive, to be my tourguide for the day, and we visited the island of Corregidor, a WWII battlefield. I never tried to do anything with her, and always wondered. Meanwhile, a week later, back in the states, my boss tells me about getting together with the factory manager, and each having a girl in their room for several hours. He obviously only wanted to torture me. My first hobby experience was still 5 years away. (Of course set up by an Asian I did business with)

I've spent a significant fraction of my time in Tokyo over the past couple of decades, in visits ranging from days to months and have sampled the Japanese commercial sex scene fairly broadly. DW98's experience is clearly more extensive, but I know enough to say that his FAQ at the top of this thread is really excellent and should be invaluable help to any gaijin looking for p4p in Tokyo. I'm happy to add my bravo and thanks to the others above!

I'd add only one caveat: The extent to which you can partake of all the wonders of the Fuzoku world DW98 describes will depend A WHOLE LOT on the extent to which you can communicate in Japanese. It is easy to underestimate, or understate, how important this can be, and for someone (like DW98, apparently) whose Japanese is quite functional, it may be easy to forget how crucial it is to their experiences. Even a few words of the language (if they are the right words) can make ALL the difference between a commercial sexual delight and jerking yourself off in frustration back at the hotel.

And, even beyond the simple issues of communication, it will help you get into places if your behavior appears polite, controlled, calm and somewhat passive (by Western standards). To be clear, I am not talking about your behavior in private with your commercial sex partner but about your behavior "at the door or front desk", so to speak. One of the major reasons that Japanese sex (and non-sex) businesses sometimes refuse to do business with gaijin is a fear that the foreigner will get angry, upset, excited or whatever and "cause a scene" and a disturbance, perhaps due to not understanding "the system" or what is happening. Not being able to communicate with the person well, or at all, of course increases this apprehension, but even if you don't speak or understand a word of Japanese, you can still help your own cause by not appearing loud, demanding, excited, confused, uncooperative etc.

<you can still help your own cause by not appearing loud, demanding, excited, confused, uncooperative>

It is funny that you mention this. I was entertaining some Asian business men in an upscale topless place on Long Island, and you could have thought they behaved like manequins. They clearly were excited about seeing non-asians and staid for many hours but they gave verly limited reaction. LOL
