The Search for the Perfect Whore: A book review

#1
I’ve never been to the Dominican Republic, but have been following (sort of) some of the threads here, every now and then. Today I ran across an ad for a "meta-novel" about a guy who travels to the DR frequently from the USA in order to hobby. The book is called "The Search for the Perfect Whore: A Romp Through the Dominican Republic" by Raymond Archer. Apparently Archer has been traveling to the DR regularly for 20 years or so. I wonder if he posts here on UG, or if others here on UG know him. If anyone goes on to read the book, I’d be interested in their take on it. Here’s the link to the book on Amazon:

Also from the Amazon listing, I noticed a link to this second book, which takes an in-depth look at the DR world of providers and foreign hobbyists. I suspect this may also be of interest to my UG brothers who travel to the DR. This one is called "What's Love Got to Do With It?: Transnational Desires and Sex Tourism in the Dominican Republic" by Denise Brennan, an anthropology professor at Georgetown University in DC.
