Ask the APM to forward me any of your questions....

But real quick...

Delray is a backwards ass-ed town. It has an old town mentality, people there do not want change, they do not like outsiders. They scared away the tourists by raising the prices, rents similar to NYC. You can walk the beach and there sits a multi million dollar mansion right next to a trailer park (search; Briny Breezes which was highlighted on 20-20 or 60 minutes about a year ago). Or along Fed Hwy just a block in from the intracoastal and you have 700 grand town houses and across the street is a empty lot full of garbage or an old shack or some other eye sore. Think Atlantic City when they first started rebuilding it. You have hold outs who refuse to sell for the good of the town. You have people turning down 20 mil for a piece of property and a developer wanting to build a high rise condo pulling their hair out.

I know this place in Delray that is a taxi company, the local Greyhound station and a Penske truck rental. They have a broken down trailer with a homeless dude who cleans up around the lot and he has all the bums in Delray hanging out all the time. Across the street are these town houses and the 90 year old bitch who owns the property recently gave the owner/operator of the taxi/greyhound/penske a 99 year lease so as to fuck the city's urban renewal plans and prevent anyone from buying in all these new town houses that currently sit empty cause no one wants to look at this shit for 3/4 of a million dollars. I guess this was the type of reason the supreme court passed that eminent domain rule a year or so back but for some reason it doesn't apply here.

I think the whole "dating in the business" thread is fascinating. For about 15 years it seemed that every girl I met was a lesbian. My best (dyke) friend would say I must have been a lesbian in a former life, the way they would be drawn to me. It was odd - lots of good friendships, rarely any sexual tension.

Then I met a girl who worked in a massage parlor - and suddenly everyone I met seemed to be in the business. A few years ago I met a young woman in the city who was spectacularly beautiful, beyond compare, had some artistic job. Two years later I respond to an in call ad for a very expensive woman. I turn up, she opens the door and "Holy Fuck!" we look and laugh. It was like it was meant to be. My best friend today works in porn and we have this brother sister thing that was there as soon as we met.

The irony is that I am a banker, with a very sober day job, as well as devoutly religious. It's funny when these different parts of ourselves can seem to hold real contradictions.

I've never dated someone in the business. My partner is an accountant, very conservative and would never in a million years believe about my hobby.

Plenty of rentals especially off season in north boca along the intracoastal. You could prob find something in a 2/2 for under 1500/mo year round. Try looking up Pelican Harbor, find it on a map (just north of Yamato on the Intracoastal) and check all the condo's in the surrounding area. It's just north of the Boca inlet. You can definitely get something in a townhouse farther out west and it's all new out there (under 10 years old), but being out west here is like being in West Bumblefuck NY... or being in say Islip LI. Even though you're still only 8 or 10 miles from the water it feels like 50. If you can pop for 2g and up a mo try Mizner Park in Boca..... dat be the new place to be. It's on the water in the heart of old money Boca but it's been completely rebuilt with the old money left intact along the water and private country clubs. Imagine taking the old money north shore of LI and building an ultra modern Great Neck type village smack in the middle of it, but not so much that it detracts from the area. They did a remarkable job rebuilding old Boca and mixing in new town houses and some high rises. It's the template for what Delray and Boynton are trying to do but failing miserably at.

If I were going to buy amywhere in So Fla... I'd buy there.

How come this is happening these days to everybody here but me?

I'm not sure I see a difference between the first paragraph and the second paragraph.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen any overlap with my dyke friends and sex-worker friends.

The closest to that was this extremely hot "dangerous girl" (just add alcohol for a unpredictable crazy time). We would flirt and whilst she had never been with a guy, she'd slept with 10x the women I had. Then one day a friend knew this italian guy, minor royalty, who desperately needed a wife who was "intact". After a few dates he asked her to see his family doctor and was delighted to learn she met the criteria. A whirlwind engagement, very elaborate wedding, then honeymoon in Switzerland. The second-hand feedback from him was
"I don't believe it. She's pure yet she blows my mind withe her imagination. Like she was born for the bedroom .." If only he knew.
