Tales From Asia Involving Wily Bar Girls and Similar Perilous Situations

I thought it would be more applicable, to start a separate thread. My previous post in the thread "FBSM worker and our professional relationship" was really more about men falling under the spells of Bar Girls (and other pros) rather than FBSM girls entering the profession lives of fellow hobbyists. After all, ryanscot's OP told of how his infatuation had influenced decisions within his professional life.

The Tale Of Jim And Noi ...

Another fellow member of the now-defunct site, BKKnight's Global Village (BGV), posted one of his experiences in 1999.

The BGVer in question, an American frequent visitor to Bangkok met his special Bar Girl -- a hot mocha-skinned spinner from Issan -- and he fell in love/lust. Let's call him Jim and call her Noi.

Despite his strong feelings for Noi, Jim felt suspicious -- little things here and there.

Despite his reservations, eventually Jim decided to marry Noi and relocate to Thailand soon after. At the same time, Jim wanted to find answers to his nagging questions, so he hired a Thai Private Investigator (PI) through a trusted source.

Posing as an official from the national government collecting census information, the PI traveled to Noi's hometown in Issan and found her. During the course of the PI's phony government survey, Noi revealed that she was married and she provided the name of her husband. As part of the phony survey, the PI also interviewed the husband and snapped pics of Noi and her husband.

Needless to say, the PI's report jerked Jim's jaw. In the pics, Noi was actually wearing an outfit that Jim bought for her. In some pics, she was posing with her husband.

Jim maintained his composure and continued with preparations for their "wedding." In Thailand, tradition holds that the groom pay a Bride Price (for some reason, many people call this a Dowry) to the bride's family. Jim told Noi that instead of cash, he would buy his father-in-law-to-be a brand new pickup truck. When he flew in from the US, Jim wanted a big pre-wedding/engagement celebration with Noi's family and friends. There, Jim would discuss, and finalize, the choice of pickup truck with Noi's father.

The date for the pre-wedding/engagement party was set. Jim made arrangements for Thai brochures of pickup trucks to be sent to Noi. All of the local arrangements, including the party, were handled by Noi. Jim told Noi to not be shy about ordering as much whiskey as they wanted for the party.

Then came the happy day of the party. Jim provided Noi with his flight number and told her that he would arrange transportation from the airport to that Friday night celebration.

Then, Jim was a No Show.

Jim always smiled when he wondered about the scene at the party. At what point did they realize that Jim was a No Show? As they sat pounding whiskey and debating the virtues of Toyota versus Nissan or GM pickup trucks, when did reality set in? When did they realize that Jim was one farang (foreigner) that they would not scam?
