Ok, so this may end up in the worst of UG section, but can anyone be honest with me about how many of these amp girls probably have herpes? I'm less concerned with stuff you can take a round of antibiotics for (though that's a bummer too), but herpes and hpv never go away and condoms do nothing to stop transmission (read up about viral transmission if you doubt that)

Meaning no disrespect, but maybe most of you longtime guys all have herpes already so it's just something that isn't talked about. But I've only been with a few of these girls and this shit crosses my mind all the time and I don't want to be a buzzkill for newbies either but I'm sure a bunch of them think about it too ...so if any of the more experienced mongers could clue me/us in it would help a lot.

I love it, but I can quit right now (I hope) if herpes in my future is all but guaranteed.

I also don't want to out anyone with herpes here either so I'm going to try and add a poll now

I was were where you are in my first year of hobbying, but far more worreid for HIV and transmitting it to my SO and my kids growing up without parents. If you are just doing HEs, you really do not have to be concerned. If you are doing BBJs, well the risk is lower but you have to be concerend. If you are engaging in FS, you have much bigger risks.

If you are that afraid, just stick to happy endings and all should be good. I would also stay away from prostate massages.

But if you do this long enough, you start to take more risks. It is mostly inevitable.LOL
Think of Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit. It is way to tempting for most here.

thanks - HEs are ok, but I really love FS. oh well, not worth the risk I guess.

There is a poll on UG of how many people got a STD from this hobby (or know about it). It can give you some idea what the odds are as long as you stay covered.

If you do this long enough, you will not stick to HEs. The temptation just gets too great.

I'm glad this thread went to the right section.

I spoke to a super specialist who deals with seeking out rare disorders in blood and he said almost every single person has been exposed to herpes (roughly 98%) and he does not even consider it important enough to discuss. he said it's up to your immune system if it will show or not so stay healthy and you should not get an outbreak. This means not stressing about getting it because chances are if you had a one night stand, kissed a stranger in a bar, played spin the bottle or even shared chapstick in grade school, you have it in your system. They cannot tell when you got it, it is really part of being a social human at this point so unless you have major outbreaks stop worrying so much about it. If you do have outbreaks be more concerned about the reason your immune system is out of whack more then the herpes.

Agreed---Have been informed the same- Stress is a major factor which will exacerbate any outbreak- I never played spin the bottle though, so I should be safe

Sorry to be the downer here... look up "Asymptomatic Shedding." This is the part that keeps me up at night... Plus for you bbbj lovers (who isn't?) there is other concerns that won't show signs in us but might for our SO's like Oral Gonorrhea. The real threat is Oral Chlamydia. Its known as the silent disease...

Merry Christmas!

Oh, you don't forget about Trichomonas. You can always sneak antibotics your SO coffee if you suspect you might have passed it on, just crush it up and add lots of sugar.

If you going to do the drug slipping might I suggest a robust blend like Jamaican Blue Mountain, Folgers will just not mask the bitterness of the antibotics or Flagyl.

Ok, ...... but can anyone be honest with me about how many of these amp girls probably have herpes?
When it comes to AMP girls you need to concern yourself more with HIV then herpes. Most of the girls who will service you honed their skills in Asia where AIDS is running wild. Combine that with the fact that bbfs is pretty standard for these girls and you have a pretty good chance of coming across an HIV positive AMP worker.

Of course this view is very unpopular here. If you follow the board you will see most of the reviews and the heaviest talked about action involves AMPS. AMPS of all kinds as we have active threads in the Spa sections, a separate NJ spa section, AMP reviews in the Long Island section and of course very active threads featuring high end UG advertiser.

So a lot of guys have their heads in the sand here or more likely they are covering their ears and going 'LA la la lalal la la' whenever the subject of AMP girls and AIDS come up. They try to dismiss it by saying 'Well Billy just doesn't like Asian woman'.

That is bullshit. I'll fuck a good looking asian as quick as any other girl.....but if she is an AMP worker it won't be BBFS.

So, how often do some of your "girl friends" take antibiotics?
I have never had to do such a thing, I am a very cautious person but it is your only option if you passed something along and don't want to fess up. She will keep passing it back to you then back to her, it's not fair to let her go on with a STD. You cannot slip in it alcohol because it will reduce the effects of the antibotics. Your choices are buy a juicer and hope she like homemade veggie juice or strong coffee because antibotics tastes very bitter. The boldest move would be somehow obtaining a shot of penicillin and telling her it's a B-12 shot. I have a very devious mind when needed.

You guys need to recheck your facts about herpes ...there is a wide range of herpes viruses. They can cause everything from a cold to a tiny wart on your hand, planter warts, etc ...most strains are rather benign and yes, everyone has several strains of herpes in their system.
Everyone does NOT however have the herpes we think of when we mention stds. if your basing your view on " everyone has herpes already" I think you're being misled. And unlike HIV, you can get herpes (the nasty kind) even if you're the most careful condom user alive.
Interesting note about amps and HIV, but I always cover it up so I don't worry about that. HIV is actually much harder to transmit than herpes.

There are actually only 5 different forms of herpes but it's only 1 and 2 that are our concern (the others are side effects of serious disease or pregnancy). As with HIV the degree of severity with herpes depending on how active and strong the strain was when you contracted and your immune system but unless you have great insurance, money to burn and insist most doctors will not bother to test you if you do not have outbreaks. The standard herpes test from my understanding is the IGE serum level test but there are other factors that can elevated it but most doctors will assume it's herpes in your system and disregard the other reasons because many think we are all promiscuous. I watched three straight hours of Mystery Diagnosis last night and the reality is most doctors look for the simple solution, give you whatever the drug companies are pushing that week and sent you on your way, I believe only 10% of the whole medical community is truly competent.

The upside is from what I heard a full on flare up is painful, so painful that it keeps a person away from intimate acts until the active more contagious outbreak is over. There are things like drink and drugs that can mask the pain so be extra weary with people that seem to be under the influence. I think everyone should look at pictures of herpes to know what to look for, I know most of you are not going to whip out the magnifying glass and flashlight but try to be as aware as much as possible. Herpes in and around the mouth can be transported to the genital area very easily, like real estate the difference between herpes 1&2 is location, location, location.
