Angela Lansbury, 96.
She absolutely was not one of the sexiest actresses but there were roles that she fit perfectly.

I saw her when she played Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd on Broadway in 1979 when you could take a date to a Saturday night Broadway show, high end dinner and parking in the city (plus tolls on MTT of $.75) for less than 2 bills with enough change left over for a decent escort during the week).

Jerry Lee Lewis struggled with internal conflict his whole life. He was torn between his wild passionate rock & roll and a calling to sing gospel. But, he did both.

The man is a legend.

“I ain’t fakin’;
whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on!!!”

Jerry Lee...the last man no longer standing ..

Fuckin’ fearless son of a bitch!!!

Lived life on his own terms.

Everything from marrying his own 13 year old kin, to daring Chuck Berry to try and close the show, after “The Killer” torched his own baby grand and played it on fire, to going after Elvis, wielding a gun, arrested at the gates of Graceland, to shooting his bass player while he was drunk during his birthday party, and flipping over his Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow.

And Jerry Lee was an amazing piano player with every bit the virtuosity of Elton John
and Billy Joel if not more so. Of coarse they all hair own style. That said .. none of these guys are concert masters like Liberace or Van Cliburn.

Jerry Lee Lewis had a southern rockabilly piano style. He, along with Little Richard (close friends) turned the piano into a rock and roll instrument which was unknown prior thereto.

Jerry Lee Lewis, son of a poor Louisiana farmer, who mortgaged his farm to buy Jerry Lee a piano, after seeing a budding musical talent.

On that same piano, he and his cousin, Jimmy Swaggart (famous televangelist) learned to play the piano together.

And, I agree with you, @pokler, although Jimmy Lee was a great pianist, as well as Elton John and Billy Joel, I wouldn’t pay money to hear them perform the Beethoven Sonatas. Although, I would sit in anticipated rapture to hear the rock maestro of Yes, Rick Wakeman, perform them.
