Absolutely true. There was a Larry David movie on HBO, Clear History where Hall had a major role. Very funny movie with a great cast if you have not seen it and are a Curb fan - a must watch.

In the Library cop episode he was so good in his role that Jerry had to do several retakes as he couldn't contain his laughter and cracked up in the middle of Hall's spiel. Even in the YOUTUBE clip above you see Jerry doing his best to contain himself to get thru the scene.

He was an enormous man. A lot of retired pro athletes have a hard time downsizing their bodies when they no longer need to be so huge. Besides, the cumulative physical toll may have just finally caught up with him. I hope he's at peace now.
