NYPD texts...

Not sure where I should be postibg this, but has anyone else gotten texts from a number youve never contacted that contained a picture msg saying this is the nypd youve been sent this msg because you answered an ad for prostitution blah blah blah?

Not sure what to make of it but im going to start keeping a closer watch on which ads I contact and see what happens in terms of these msgs. Its not the 1st time I got this msg btw. In total I've probably got it about 10 times over the past year.

Any thoughts?

There is some info on Google..look for article in the NY Post. Pretty much a set up. They are sending these texts as a warning if you didn't follow through on your date

I've gotten a few of them. They use it as a "you got lucky" you couldn't arrange the date with their undercover. Usually means something didn't quite feel right, so i didn't pursue anything further or someone else replied to my texts first(and IMO, had the prettier or less likely to be fake pics, better pricing or better "services" offered for a donation)...or that the legitimate last minute meeting at work saved by ass....

They also send the text out 1 to 2 weeks later, once they realize you didn't hook yourself of their fake bait, but it also making it impossible to try and match the ad to the number that you tried to connect with. To avoid in the future

You should be on your knees thanking NYPD they’ve let you off with only a warning. This has been well documented just google .

Stupid question maybe, but NYPD is only doing this in 5 borough location and not LI, right? Searched to see if Nassau or Suffolk PD's are doing this as well and nothing came up.

They definitely do and Suffolk and Nassau Formed a “one of a kind” type of task force to focus on it. Just know the girl or verify her through some method... nothing is worth losing your freedom
Long Island now has a "Human Trafficking" Task Force. Suffolk County's new human trafficking task force was initiated on paper in Mar/Apr 2017, by a committee partnership between the FBI, Suffolk County Police, the District Attorney, and Victim Support Services. It was established and authorize in April of 2018.

SCPD, is partnered in multiple "multi-agency" task forces, with NYPD membership:
Violent Crime/Gang
Heroin Task Force
MS13 Task Force
Terrorism Task Force (Empire Shield)
Human Trafficking Task Force

They are also members in multiple Fusion Center partnerships (where all your ALPR's, and Red Light Camera, Search Engine data is intercepted)
At the federal level
MAGLOCLEN
MS-ISAC
TTAG
At the State level New York state operates six of its own fusion centers

Unless you encrypt everything, and use totally anonymous search engines and anonymizing VPN's/Proxy every thing you text, search, instant message, talk about its all tracked, catalogued and used against you (there is an entire industry within law enforcement to fabricate the "source" of the evidence, to pretend that they don't have all of it called "parallel construction").

Please spend the 15-30 minutes to read all these news sources..... realize that Pokler's "one crime at a time" doesn't work, they already have all your crimes catalogued they just need to create a situation to pretend that they caught you doing something else to bring these other known crimes you commit to be used against you later....

But so far the NYPD "your lucky" text you could've been caught for offering item of value for sex services warning text seems only to be connected to the NYPD escort/prostitution task force within NYC jurisdiction(so far).

They can't arrest you because you texted someone and asked some info and never followed through. While I've never gotten a text. Times are definitely different than before.
