non-cash payment

#1
I have a question for hobbyists. I contacted lots of recent ads and all of them asked to use digital apps such as zelle, cash app, or paypal and to pay upfront. I thought they were scammers but it is strange that all of them said they do not accept cash. Do you believe all of them are scammers? It would be great if you share your experience, regarding how you protected yourself.

Why would anyone turn down cash?
Big red flag.

Are these escort ads or seeking girls that are responding that way?

I see a lot of this on social media aps they are all SCAMS and some people actually do fall for it. I wouldn't mind paying with venmo after the meeting but I understand why most wouldn't.

I call with a burner that I purchased for cash a long time ago, update minutes with a card that I pay for with cash (much less concerned with store camera's now as when I purchase I wear a mask, sunglasses and baseball cap with it's bill low over my forehead) and pay for services rendered with cash.

I do now see any downside to my method other than minor occasional inconvenience but I see many with non-cash, non-burner methods.

"just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me"

I bring cash with me, never pay before a meeting and I actually posted about this last week where a provider stated they needed the upfront cost first before we meet, I said i had cash and they said they had a bad experience with Cash.

However, I ask if they use any Payment Apps for this reason. If things don't look right, if it looks Shady or if the Picture is way off then their real looks, I would use the Digital app as an excuse to leave saying I thought you take Zelle, I have to get to the bank and get cash, I never had to do this yet but its an exit strategy.

When I’ve changed my mind in the past, because of looks etc, I’ll ask if they take credit cards... I know they most likely dont. Then will say I need to go to an ATM. Have done it 4-5 times with different providers that look nothing like their pics. A couple of actually asked, “what’s wrong, you don’t like me?” I just walk out at that point.

There was a time where I’d just go through with it, figuring what the heck, I’m here. But I don’t do that anymore, especially after texting with these girls and asking them to send a real pic and receiving what they claim to be a real pic.

Cash remains King, if for no other reason then to strengthen our position in the absence of cash.

If you change your mind, you don't need an excuse. Just walk. You shouldn't "feel bad" when they were the ones misrepresenting themselves.

The only time you can ever pay something other than cash, it smells like skunk and you can make rope out of it.

Or if you have a marketable skill sometimes (RARELY) you can get service in exchange. This has happened to me precisely once in maybe 15 years of doing this (it was Desilove the infamous, back in the day, she was in online college and I helped her with an APA style paper).

If it's venmo cash app etc it's. A. Scam.

Unless you're a regular already. In that case if CashApp is more convenient, it's all good. But I agree for first time visits with providers we don't know....non-cash payments seem suspicious

Hello hobbyists. Recently, so many girls ask to use gift cards such as eBay, Amazon, etc. Some of them said I can give a card hand to hand, which means I can meet before I pay. Do you guys think it is not a scam? Of course, I refuse CashApp, Zelle, etc or any upfront payment as I think it's a scam.
