Getting the same thing for less money is competing on price.

Getting more for the same money I would think would be competing on "value".

Of course it still all depends on what the customer wants/needs.
 
How about me.....I tell people straight out if you're looking for the cheapest, we ain't it. My company competes on service and value added. And some times we lose em for price. I tell em you get what you pay for (no service). I will invariably get call a year later...you were right, let's try again.
 
If I see a provider who claims to be indy quoting around 2., I usually say the price is a bit steep for me. The last time I got .5 knocked off. I don't haggle with agencies.
