Mobile Listings and Sites

#1
With the increased use of mobile Internet devices, BlackBerries and iPhones being the most obvious examples (and the new Google mobile phone another), hobbyists may find escort ad sites with mobile Internet interfaces increasingly useful.

I'm curious as to what your experience has been trying to use your mobile device to conduct hobbying research? Are there particular sites that are doing this well/poorly?

I know of only one agency site with a mobile interface, but I can't mention them here because they're banned on UG. But I'm sure there are other examples.

I can go on this web site with my black berry, but the phone i have is old and its slow, but i can see it, the graphics are removed or shrunk. I am hoping to get a new phone which should be able to load this and CL faster.

i finally got a new BlackBerry and its easier to get to UG it takes time. The browser looks good all the ads load up, you have to zoom in to really see the post. As a time passer it fine but can get annoying if your speed is not fast enough.

I don't believe UG is optimized for mobile devices (not sure there's an mobile version of the message board software it uses). However, there are some hobbying sites that are.

Two of my favorite agencies, one in NY and one in NJ, have mobile optimized sites for finding out who, when, or where. Its works out very nicely. One of them also encourages regulars to text in their reservation requests and they respond with a text message. Its a lot easier to find a hotel or remember a room number heard on a windy Manhattan corner if it is texted.

I do not know of BB software with a mobile optimized "theme". I am not sure it will happen since mobile devices are more and more able to handle full web pages.

My only problem with texted info containing details of a session is that it generates a written "paper trail" of the event. If it's just a phone call, unless someone's tapping the phone, the only record is the call itself.

I use my BB to search for providers, I'm able to go on most sites including the provider sites, craigslist and newspaper ads. I find it really helpful when you find yourself needing to bust an impromtu nut.
