Making the leap from Monger to Porn Star

If you are not familiar with that camera, I would get to know it well before the first shoot. Also it would benefit to have multiple cameras going at once. At least one hand held, and one on a tripod.

Don't just use one memory card for many reasons. Download time will be very long. If there is a card error you are screwed. It is great to have multiple cards so you don't have to format the used card to reuse it, and can just leave it as a backup.
If you plan on using multiple cameras keep in mind that some use different kinds of memory cards.

Back that shit up. Don't leave the site without at least 2 copies of the footage on separate devices, preferably in separate bags.

Using ambient light sources can be problematic. Lamps are a different color temperature than window light and it looks unprofessional when mixing multiple sources. Window light can change from minute to minute depending on the weather. There are some inexpensive options out there to get a more consistent light. You want soft light, it is much more forgiving, and you want to be able to control the angle and distance etc..

Finally if you ask any film student they will tell you sound is just as important as picture. No one wants to watch anything with bad sound, there are a lot of options there as well but you definitely want to get the sound worked out beforehand.

I have the microphone with boom stick... maybe a bright iPhone flashlight for light lighting? Or I was thinking of maybe bringing studio lights but I don’t want it to be excessive.

Since it seems like a lot of work, I’m only doing the 2 paid scenes with it.

My iPhone shoots 1080P for the side projects and I’ll have a handheld going too. My friend is lending me the camera and tripod so I’ll def be learning the ins and out, he said it auto refocuses so it should be nice.

2 1TB memory cards + a 512 will be brought. I’m not worried about instantly releasing them. Model release forms signed I can keep it in the vault until I figure out how I want to go about it.

I was thinking more app driven, but in the modern computer age, I think a website would be best. It’s nerve wrecking but exciting.

If you would like a cameraman/gaffer to help out let me know and I'll work for a bbbj from her and throw in an extra cum shot for you to put in the shoot. Lol. Good luck, and you really should use a small light kit so the color temperature stays constant.
Haha doing this all solo. Got the light kit today, will help the white balance on the camera. It’s not that I don’t like sharing, but this is definitely something big. I figured since I do it already anyway, might as well legally do it and profit of it.

What I mean about waiting to download is that if you fill the cards and need to reuse them it will take a while to download.
Don't use an I phone flashlight unless you are lighting something very small....
If you want to use daylight get a room with a big north facing window and just use that.
Either way it will be fun, and a learning experience.

Good luck.

If you find a place let me know please man I’ve been asking some friends in the hobby and no one seems to know a cheap place here in LI but maybe you’ll have better luck
Google "Free Clinic" and what county or city convenient for you. I went here 380 Nassau Rd Roosevelt. It was free but I had to go back a fews days later for my printed results. This was a while back when I did some bare filming with an older porn star.

I hope it works out for you, Smash! It's not's easy. There's a reason you see the same 5 to 10 male performers all of the time.

When I was in my late 20s, I befriended a few girls in the industry. We talked about me shooting content for their websites. This was before the days of OnlyFans. It never materialized into anything. I did later discover that one used her webcam to stream one of our sessions on a webcam site. I didn't really mind. I would love to find it. I was in better shape back then and put on a pretty good performance.

When working with the studios, any new male talent gets paid minimal for their first 25 or so scenes. Until they get considered as a reliable performer.
