Though we probably lack sufficient numbers for a statistically valid database(please come back jm) and many johns may not be honest about their avocations,I'm curious from the ladies side as to which professions or jobs compromise the highest number of your johns. Based on anecdotes,I've always thaought that lawyers are number 1.

To dovetail onto Bill's comment, it would have helped to list a number of professions. not just law, but also educators, professors, clergy, psychologists, human services, nursing, etc.

corporate executive........but, unlike jack welch, the board won't pay for my recreational activities.

i always thought that we should hire a hooker to service the staff. she could have the title vp-stress alleviation. if sure that would greatly enhance productivity.

I think this is spot on. What does it say about me that this endeavor is often my temporary escape from the "public reviling" (or commisseration with another often equally reviled person for their chosen profession)?

It also depens on the location of the johns. In New York mine are mostly in finance, stocks and commodities, and then doctor, then selfemployed and the fourth runners up is lawyers. Now in California Lawyers are first and entertainers are second and then selfemployed third and fourth being doctors. In Texas selfemployed are first and doctors are second and lawyers are third and athletes are fourth. Never been to Chicago or north-midwest.

I wonder how many of the computer/high-tech industry types are included in the large number in "other".......(that should have been its own category, y'know).

What about journalists? Providers must know many who are involved in the hobby. Are you all keeping quiet, or are those hobbyists operating UTR?

Journalism would be either entertainment or communication, depending on whether you view the content as fantasy or reality.

Lawyer (mostly)

Doctor

CEO (love those Mon-Thurs type of guys, weekends with the wife, during the week with me!)

Screenwriter (boy I'd love to say , but I can't)

CPA (after lawyers this is the next largest group)

Stockbroker (not too many lately)

Also some techies, but I'd have to say that I rarely see someone outside of these fields, just the way it worked out.

I see a lot of chemical plants or new meds salesmen, Judges, some retired some not. Insurance , always lawyers, advertising promoters, Diplomats <friendly countries>, lots of accountants.

Those are just a few I can think of right now.

Those I miss:

Construction men, electricians, teachers and all the clients that use to bring me stuff from their companies.
