Try reading the rules. Especially if you are in moderation because of zero or only a few posts, our moderators are strict on the rules and if your post violates in any way it gets deleted rather than posted. Unfortunately our experience has been that many new members don't bother reading the rules and this is the only way we can get them to even take a glance at them. Almost every post that gets deleted whether from the moderation queue or after being live is due to a rules violation.
We're sorry that even if your post may be 90% kosher, the entire post may be deleted if it contains one rules violation.You may ask why the moderator doesn't just edit the post. In our 25 years of experience, if we do that the user simply doesn't bother reading the rules, and keeps making posts which violate the rules. If you think the moderators take joy in deleting posts, it's the worst part of the job (except if you've broken a certain rule regarding moderators).
