Another favorite of mine is Ouzo. Ouzo is a clear spirit, which tastes like licorice. It is made from the pulp of grapes and distilled into neutral alcohol much like Vodka. In fact some of the cheaper brands of Ouzo is made from grain like Vodka. Oil of Anisette is what gives Ouzo its characteristic licorice taste. The only thing you really can add to Ouzo is water, which turns it a milky white. I like to put in the freezer and let it stay for a day or two. Freezing it also turns it a milky color. This is one liquor that tastes delicious all by its self.
