To me it is more similar to The BackPage bust meaning that is something that had been going on for quite a while before the new legislation was enacted and probably would have happened even if the new legislation would not have passed

I look forward to hearing from her.
I met her today to help her log in, she thinks she has an acct. I don't think so, she put her email addy in the user name, and some password, that was rejected. I ran out of time, but she is sincere, so I'll keep helping her, to figure it out. I told her to enter her email, and say new acct.

Ironic, how POTUS signs the bill into law, yet he has been accused of the same (possible russian pros). Keep in mind, he also paid a porn star 130k for her silence, but we all know no matter how it's framed it was "buying ass". I guess you can have a NDA to wrap your rubber in, since you won't be paying for her services but rather her silence. :)

Speaking of which, I wonder how members of the "Red Hat Mafia" plan to get their "monthly fix" now that SESTA/FOSTA is law of the land?

No chance of that happening until one of these ******** social media stars gets hurt from a follower. And it’s sad that our country will exploit these children in this way. Argue all you want but their innocence is being stolen. And if you read account from child actors you’ll see that it eventually leads to something sexual prior to reaching the age of consent. But hey, When you’re Jerry Seinfeld or any number of mega famous/rich people, everyone will turn a blind eye. Hypocrisy is here to stay, that’s one thing you can count on!

Some interesting facts... though no sources listed to prove it and that it references "Craigslist" seems to be at least some dated materials.

https://m.ranker.com/list/prostitution-in-america/mike-rothschild?
And the Top Reason Men Go To Prostitutes according to the article is: According to FindingJustice.org, the number one reason men pay for sex is to "satisfy an immediate urge for sex." The other top two reasons men solicit sex workers is to "experience a specific physical, racial, or sexual fetish," and because they are not satisfied in their current relationship.

At least for myself and the couple of guys I know this is simply not the case - certainly not an immediate urge for sex as all this mongering, hiding the missing cash from the SO, justifying the missing time where I don't answer my phone , etc., requires a lot of advance planning and certainly immediate is the last word I would ever use to describe in my case.
Guys - your reasons?

See, here's the problem:
That Ranker article states:
"In 2017, 8,524 cases of human trafficking were reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Of thouse 8,524 cases, 6,081 were sex trafficking victims."
That's less than half the number of people killed by guns (excluding suicides) in the United States in that same year.
Meanwhile, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan's website page on why we "needed" to enact FOSTA throws out "that there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking around the world." And various anti-sex trafficking groups are constantly throwing out numbers in the hundreds of thousands per year in this country.
I am not saying there is no problem and that trafficking doesn't exist, but the issue has been totally blown out of proportion with reality in order to scare people into outlawing sex work by labelling all sex work as "sex trafficking".

That's exactly how I'm seeing all this. When I hear "trafficking", I think movement. Smuggling, kidnapping, that kind of thing. Moving something from one place to another. But that's not what I'm seeing. I see the word "trafficking" used to describe any type of sex work. Anything involving p4p sex is now defined as "sex trafficking".

FOSTA/SESTA, continuing its destruction of even legitimate business that have absolutely tno nexus to "human trafficking".

An author, I support on Patreon has got a snag with her publishing of a book. Now there has always been a fine line/ stigma with erotic fiction writing, but now the Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, etc are clamping down on "illustrations", even a nipple can cause the publishers to be blacklisted (if going self publishing route, the established harlequin romance novels don't take chances on new stories/ authors without a track recordof sales).

Also PayPal, has stopped taking payments for another erotic fiction author on Patreon, the author was vague on whether this was a new issue, or one that preceded FOSTA/SESTA
