how to vet a new one

#1
So, I was in the New England area recently and checked that region's forum here for guidance. Totally dead. Not to be deterred, I went down the rabbit-hole of illicit websites and realized without UG, I was totally over my head. Upon my return home, I noticed we have several how-to threads in this forum and others, for example: how to not go to jail for a very long time and how to stay married, amongst others. One topic that I haven't really seen get much play anywhere and would have been a great help to me (if I missed a specific topic on this, apologies in advance) is the art of not so much how to find a new SP, but how to choose one that hopefully has minimal risk of being a scammer...or worse! As a research scientist and Google-Fu practitioner, I personally find this process to be one of the more enjoyable aspects of the hobby. It replaces the "chase" that we all enjoy with NP4P civvies and obviously don't have with pros otherwise.

Let's get down to it!

Obviously, this is not a discussion of where to find new numbers. If you're on this forum I think you can manage that on your own (plus, it's not allowed!) But what's your process when you find some PYT that's TGTBT? If you reverse image search her picture and see it's been posted in 23 different states that day, is that a red flag for you or do you think "hey, she must be agency then and available everywhere." If you reverse search her phone number, and it's google voice, is that a good sign? Do you avoid ones that are sms only, or feel safer with ones that prefer phone calls? What tips and tricks do you utilize to minimize the chance of your selection being LE or a hold-up crew?

I texted about 15 numbers during my stay up north and out of that 15, over half were bots, 2 were agencies, 1 was real but disinterested, and the rest didn't respond. Maybe I won by losing though, who knows? But the entire process drove home the point to me that it's not easy to find a good one!

Recently a mod (I forget which one) gave his blessing for greater sharing in the ISO forum of unreviewed providers we've found that we like but don't have time to see. Many of these run a risk of TOFFT - but since every SP had that risk at one point, this thread is for advice on how to manage it (BEFORE the meet) and would be greatly appreciated.

What works for you?

Hi deseos - I dig your avatar! I agree that searching the Interwebz is crucial when vetting potential talent. There is a huge lot to explore on vetting.

Google Image Search is top-drawer but why limit to one? Browser extensions allow you to mouse over a pic, click to choose search engines to submit to, then launch simultaneous searches on sites like Google, TinEye, Bing, Yandex, Яндекс, Baidu (and some specialty sites for Anime, Manga, drawings, etc. not so fit for our task).

Interested? Type 'Reverse Image Search' in your favorite browser's extension search field. Or visit developer docs at https://github.com/Brawl345/Image-Reverse-Search-WebExtension/blob/master/README.md . There are competing extensions but RIS is my current fave. Of course extensions weaken browser security - but so does JavaScript and many other 3rd party components your browser needs to surf usefully.

Note some providers (or their web designers) want to re-use their best pics (or stolen pics) but don't want any link to a provider's prior trade name or marketing campaign where the pics were previously used. So they use a photo program to flip the original to its mirror image and then upload it. The image search engines don't do mirror image searches - so presto ! - no link to prior identity. If I'm REALLY interested, I download the target image, flip it, upload and search again. Aha! Milena in NY was Lisa in Russia. More to follow. Cheers,

Thank you my dude! There's actually a story behind it though - before I share it, just curious if you already know? I'm surprised @Banacek hasn't tried a deep dive into my avatar's history yet!

Thanks for sharing that advice. Had no idea about the mirror image trick, that's brilliant. Will certainly be put to good use.

I've never tried to decipher the meaning or reasoning of anyone's avatar or screenname. Just something that doesn't cross my mind. I have suggested avatars. But only on a few occasions and they were pretty generic.

Sorry for the late response - was a busy week and tbh I forgot about my post! No you were spot on re: the Boston Cartoon Network bomb scare. Though, I love the Never Forget image you posted - I hadn't seen that one before!

I was finishing up university in Boston when this whole double face-palming episode happened and I figured it'd be a good throwback for here :) For those of you who aren't familiar with the story, basically Cartoon Network / Turner Broadcasting decided to do some guerrilla advertising for Aqua Teen Hunger Force and have a pair of dudes who looked like members of Rage Against the Machine hang up several dozen LiteBrites (my avatar) across Boston and it's suburbs. After several weeks of no one noticing, there were a series of terror threats across the globe and a pipe bomb scare called into a local medical center, which led to someone reporting one of these LED picture's. Of course, the skilled Boston Police Department thought they were bombs, everyone under 25 knew they were not, and it was just a shit show with some seriously epic trolling during and afterwards. Hell, to this day! The10 year anniversary article is well-worth a read. Link here.

Now, to keep this on topic - @priapist , the extension you linked to on Github has an option for chrome, but I couldn't find it on the chrome store itself. Just wanted to check that's the one you use.

So, here's another example of vetting providers:

Using google voice, I send a couple texts simply saying "hi, how are you?" to different asian sp's i saw posting. Ads were similar. Here were the responses, one within a minute and the other in 4 minutes:
Im lily BBJ CIM 130hhr 160hhr Americana Inn, 727 Broadhollow Rd, Farmingdale, NY 11735
Im linda Full service BBJ 130hhr 160hr Sayville Motor Lodge, 5494 Sunrise Hwy, Sayville, NY 11782
What does your spidey sense tell you? Mine is saying "sting, sting, sting!" I highly doubt even an agency would be that upfront.

I'd be wary of a sting too - or a ripoff - unless prior search hits against ad text established credible provider history going back a good way.
But I'll admit I haven't texted providers enough to speak from solid experience. I tend to phone. Curious what others say...

What are the phone numbers for these ads? Let's see if we can vet them in a web search.

STOP REFERRING TO THAT 'CRAWL' WEBSITE!
Back to vetting.

I searched the first number starting at a crawler site that accepts free adult postings (content input). Some sites include 'robots.txt' functions so their content doesn't get indexed by public search engines like Google, Bing, etc. Some input sites need a user name, password, email verification - but really are free. Once pix and text are posted, aggregator sites blow out the content to numerous well-know adult services sites (output). Some ads click through to AFF and other 'dating' sites, webcam or porn sites with the free content first hoping for a paid conversion. The posters often loose control of their content which is modified and re-purposed by site operators.

"Linda": Search hits off the first number led to professional pix sets typical of all AMPs - racy near-nude Korean models - PYTs TGTBT. Image searches found a number of poses from the same shoot, with different ad text, different phone numbers, emails, twitter etc. simultaneously in dozens of cities in US & Canada. Text is tweaked to look like local or regional listings, often repeating with different names and services offered, throughout a three to six month range.

I assume any customer query can be routed to a spa manager or MMS; or a booker in a 'boiler room' operation; some queries go direct to solo incall &/or outcall providers; including civilians spanning the range of orientations. So the content gets re-purposed, recycled, mashed-up and monetized - endless channels and business models.

Much of the content is obviously used for bait and switch. Could some of this content be LE sting ops? Certainly. '
But IMHO a lot of this content originated for real providers or their management.
Of course it's not just AMPs, it's latinas, TS, etc.
Even true GFE spas mingle recycled pix plus real ones of their staff.

Caveat emptor. Search is your friend. Have fun!

I always laugh when a place puts the zip code in their ad. I think to myself, "Thanks for that in case I decide to have the mailman drop me off there."
LMAO! "Call me the mailman, I always deliver."

@priapist - brilliant summary! "Lily" was exactly the same. Your post is a great example of the kind of recon that makes this hobby enjoyable for me, well, beyond the obvious. It's amazing how much of a business some of this stuff is, isn't it?

The immediate replies with same texts different locations/pricing made me think of a bot response or as you said a boiler room type operation. I was taken aback by the forwardness of services included. If it were a sting, my fear would be that simply showing up could demonstrate one's intent to participate in such behavior and be grounds for a visit to the precinct. On the flip side, if I were 5-0, the case is made for me. Perhaps Asian syndicates simply don't care about maintaining the anonymity of their girls? No matter what, a phone call would definitely have been required.

For contrast: I also contacted a third number, 916-267-5290. Going down the rabbit hole of that one showed ads across the country, linking to varying numbers but mostly the email stayed the same. Cali number so probably MMS arranging things with the benefit of being 3 hours behind, good for late nite visits right? Her response to my hi, how are you? was simply "hi." I felt more comfortable that a real person was responding and asked where she was located - response was "Holiday inn 2050 express dr south. Hauppauge. NY 11788 130hhr. 160hr Including shower nunu massage everything Thank you". That difference in response from Lily/Lisa, combined with a confident Asian voice when I called, made me feel much more comfortable. I did show up btw but walked out - room was full of chinese food and sp had a busted face. MMS was on phone with the girl and asked if I wanted to try another location but I wasn't gonna drive back out west.

As priapist says, caveat emptor! Do your due diligence and you can minimize the Big House's edge.

Hiya deseos. Bogus 7 ways from Sunday. 1st impression - TGTBT. Disqualified by one phone number search getting lots of provider names Alicia Amy Janice Cynthia, including a TS, explicit services rendered, from body rubs to 'anything to pay the bills', strewn several LI towns to Columbus OH. I didn't bother searching image. Next!

I agree with you 100% that it's more bogus than a journey with Bill and Ted. However, I came up with no hits on the number - I wouldn't have bothered posting if I saw the search results you did as that's too easy! Search as I may though, I still can't replicate your results. What am I missing?

For me, the language used in this ad is a great example of what to watch out for and the particular reason why I chose to share this one. What "very sexy white college girl" writes like this? ad is posted all the time, yet still is looking "only a couple long term clients." Legit girl would be looking for her sugar daddies on other sites. Ad text reads like a greatest hits album of what guys want. thigh highs, lingerie, pick out her outfit, take it off yourself, two girls at the same time, have the roommate while the main squeeze is away, etc etc etc. It's like reading erotica written by a man vs by a woman. Or like reading an email from a Nigerian prince or an esquire from England who has a tidy sum waiting for you if only you send him a small amount first. Totally TGTBT, and preying on male weakness of the flesh.
