I noticed the other day that "Bamboo House" on 6th Street and 2nd Avenue was totally gutted inside. The small place on 4th Ave. between 9th & 10th is shuttered as well, as is Rosie & Ting's on 4th Ave. and 9th Street. I moved into the neighborhood about 30 years ago and "Bamboo House" was a reliable provider of edible Chinese Food for all these years. Delivery service was very quick, as I practically live around the corner. I'm not talking gourmet food here, but to me they always represented decent Chinese comfort food. Plus some of the waitresses looked way hotter than any of the Tui-na personnel down the street. They'll be missed.
