Fast Food Favs - past and present

It still is. I think the group that bought pudgies bought the Arthur treacher name too, three concepts in one location!!
On the subject, the fact that I can get a orange Julius at the Dairy Queen on 112 is the one thing that co-branding has brought to my life.
All dairy Queen have orange Julius? If so, you just made my day.

I’m pretty sure. The 2 I have been to did. Orange Julius and the Time out arcade at the smithhaven mall were the high points of my childhood. After that one closed I would get one at Penn station whenever I would go into the city. When I saw it at a Dairy Queen in Jersey a few years ago I freaked out, then they opened in patchogue, and I was like I’m in. Their burgers and cheese curds are pretty good too for fast food.

I think their main advantage over the franchise places is that they are always fresh.
Their burgers don't match up to the gourmet places like Burgeroligy. But they are fresh and tasty.
The burger bar across the street from all American has good burgers and real cut fries not frozen shit.

Didn't they have a commercial?
"Don't cook tonight
Call Chicken Delight!"
Yes!!
Further research- Google search suggests one location in Westbury using same logos and tag lines- Wiki talks about their demise after KFC and other chains started opening back in the 70’s_

I may have to try the one in Westbury

Were they there until the early 2000's?
I remember going to a place that was family owned, big building, large eat in area. I know the father got to carry the Olympic torch for a few blocks in 96. It was definitely in the Sheepshead area.
Sheepshead bay is Rollnroaster overrated?? Haven't been in like 3 years

Toss of a coin…
Their fries with salt.. I mean cheese .. will keep your blood pressure elevated for days are good- Roast beef, with fried onions and gravy- excellent-

The place is slightly overrated, but offers some great memories - The late night hang or takeout which was brought to the Golden Gate hotel after a toss in the sheets .. priceless

As long as it wasn't the windjammer motel. Does anyone remember the casino boat that used to be down there. It was probably early 90's. Same location as wind jammer, but before they built it.

Windjammer is also now gone.
