Annoying "trendy" catchphrases

#27
'He/she is living her 'best life' ". I freaking hate that saying.

It's not really used anymore but "Hot mess" is another. I've said to people that's what we call our cat's shit when it's a steaming pile. Kinda kills that saying right there with the thought out in their heads.

"Type shit"

"You're Bugging" aka "yur buggin"

Certain people just use and abuse some of these words and phrases so much that they get played out and annoying as fuck. Many of them when used in moderation or in a playful sense, aren't that bad. When they start becoming part of your natural daily vocabulary is when something has to change. Lol.

I think "10 toes down" annoys me for the same reason "bro," "low key," and "no cap" do...

Not because the phrase is bad...

Because once everyone starts saying it in every conversation, it goes from sounding cool to sounding like everyone copied the same script. LOL
EXACTLY!
The thing that irritates me with "low-key" the most is that all of the sudden people started over using it to the point where that would begin and end a sentence with that phrase. And almost every sentence!
And to top it off it is usually one of these scrawny 20 somethings making a YouTube video to purposely annoy people in public settings or one of these "Bro" podcasts.

I swear "low-key" went from being a phrase to becoming punctuation.

"Low-key, I woke up..."
"Low-key, I brushed my teeth..."
"Low-key, low-key... no cap... bro..."

At some point I don't even know what the sentence is about anymore.

And it's always somebody whose entire personality is annoying strangers for YouTube views or hosting the 847th "Bro Podcast" where everyone talks over each other. Low-key... I'm exhausted. ;)

When people say "Fire" being a good thing
Every time someone says, "That's fire," a tiny part of me wants to ask, "Shouldn't we call someone?"

I grew up thinking fire meant panic, not compliments.

Now it's:
"Those shoes are fire."
"That song is fire."
"That burger is fire."

Meanwhile, I'm over here wondering if I need a fire extinguisher.
