A different Weiner scandal

@Slinky Bender
Major differences with this Weiner:
ZW did nothing illegal.

ZW came right out and acknowledged he was indeed in the video. What can the press do for a follow up as he came right out and admitted it.

ZW up to now was a nobody and as is said in politics — get your name out there, good or bad. Who knows, from his district maybe most people may not care about the DM but now know about the guy.

This newcomer (without a lot of political capital/rep) will have a hard time trying to exclude this from the no frills business that most people want in the city re: council.

maybe, maybe not. Note that his coming right out and acknowledging that the story was true is not the same as the press jackals smelling a cover up and digging into everything his does. He said it was his personal business and was not illegal — so what can the press ask him after that.

Whether all this helps or hinders his political goal, I really have no clue. I mean it's not like he was cheating on his wife, drove off a bridge while drunk and left a young woman to drown and didn't report it to the next day. All what ZW did was engage in some kinky stuff with his GF.

Remember that Bill Clinton's problem with the whole Lewinsky situation was his attempted cover up and not the actual affair. There is certainly no cover up here.

That said, if their isn't anything illegal in his past, he will certainly get name recognition now that he didn't have before.
