You can only protect so many players on the 40 man roster. Too bad they lost those guys on waivers. IT's going to happen.

They didn't loose anything special. All those guys are easily replaced with similar journeyman types on a minor league deal and an invite to spring training.

They have a lot players they need to protect from the Rule 5 draft so they needed the roster space.

He was a nice story but not worth a winter roster spot.

They also have to add back Voit, Andujar, Frazier, Britton from the IL to the 40 man. More moves to come.
