Sex Lies and The Ficha Bar!

#1
What is a Ficha Bar? A club setting were Latin Music is played. There are girls dressed in sexy outfits, who for two dollars (more or less) will dance a song with you. You can also buy the girls a drink, which is usually sold at a slightly higher price. Not a bad deal, you never have to worry about rejection.

How did these places get started? This is a Mexican tradition. The married men in Mexico would go to the bar and pay to dance with a girl, while there wife stayed home and cared for the family. There wife was OK with this because she knew were her husband was. The men were happy because they had a chance to dance with a women that he had no attachment with, and hang out with his friends.

How do I know a spot is a ficha bar There is not a sign on the door. You have to know the spots. Many Mexican and Latin Restaurants serve food by day, and become a ficha bar at night. They come in all shapes and sizes. Many are small spots with tiny dance floors, to large disco settings.

Where are these Ficha Bars? Were ever there is a Mexican community, you will find a ficha bar. I found one in Mississippi. I have found them in Upstate New York (Middletown) Miami, LA, NJ. In New York they have taken on a life all to themselves.

I am American and do not speak Spanish, can I go No problem, there are always glad to take your money. You will be surprised how many of the girls speak English.

You mentioned the girls are dressed sexy, can I pay the girls for extra's For the most part these girls are at the Ficha bar to make money by dancing and having drinks. They are not prostitute's. There are no back rooms or VIP rooms in the club.

How much should I expect to spend in a Ficha Bar?If you dance with a girl, you give her $2 a song. The big expense comes when you start buying a girl drinks. Every drink is $10 and this includes juice. They may also order shots, which could be a "light shot" which means 90% water 10% liquor. Some girls will order a beer and a shot, every 15 minutes. If your ordering a drink also, the money you spend can add up fast. Some girls will invite there dancer friends over for drinks also. This is were you have to be careful and learn to say no, unless you do not mind spending money, then enjoy!

I am a mongerer and so far I am not impressed, sounds like a waste of money If your hanging with the girl and buying them drinks, you can get close with them and hug them. The real bargain is dancing Reggatone In this dance you grind against the girl, you hold her tight, and grind against her butt and front. This is one of the best buys ever for the mongerer. I remember the Paradise Club, and Club Passion in NYC, were I would pay $20 for a wall dance, which are not as good, or as much fun as a Raggatone dance with one of these girls. You can dance and grind for a good 20 minutes, and if you give them $20 bucks you are a hero. This would cost at least $100 at a SC.

What's with the title of this thread It is simple, BOOZE + SEXY WOMAN + MONEY = SEX AND LIES!

More a Central American one, but its a small point so I won't belabor it.

This is actually incorrect. More precisely it is partially incorrect. It depends on the club. There are a lot of clubs of this sort that are directly connected with human trafficking out of Central America. Women are prisoners, of a sort, working off tabs they have created crossing the border into the US. Some created such tabs voluntarily, though they may not have known precisely how they were expected to pay it off. Some were out and out kidnapped from their home country. The feds have raided more than a handful of these places in our area, arresting the owners and charging them with federal crimes involving white slavery [human trafficking].

When this is the case the women are usually housed in apartments very near the ficha bar. Any prostitution is conducted there, as well as it being where the women sleep on their off hours. They are literally conducted back and forth between apartments and ficha bar and back again. Always confined to a short area in which to control them.

Only a handful of operations work in this manner, but it is something gents should take into consideration before patronizing such places.

It could be, but I what like you to reference it. Sounds like you are feeding off of media hype. Makes for good headlines, and talk at the dinner table. CNN had an hour documentary on the subject, they showed one girl who's face was covered.

You should easily be able to post some links, which I would look forward to reading.

PLEASE PROOF ME WRONG

.
Since I retired it isn't a state secret what I did for a living, Eddy.

My info comes directly from the local LE community that works within hispanic populated areas plus state and fed LE who have conducted investigations in that area.

In other words, I am ideally suited to comment with authority on the subject.

I have no reason to doubt that you are an authority... With that said by both of us, It should be very easy for you to back up your post.

While they are public documents [well, most of them anyway] I'm not going to be the one to copy or link criminal incident and investigation reports from various city, state and federal law enforcement agencies to a PMB.

What ARE you thinking? :rolleyes: {sheesh}

IF you are that interested go to the PDs of Essex and Hudson counties, NYPD, FBI and ICE and look them up and YOU can post them here. :)

I am thinking you can not proof a word you said. Provide a link, which has an article that verify's your statement.

Is that asking to much Secret Agent Man?

With all due respect, Thorn, "gentlemen" should not only "take [this] into consideration", but if they have knowledge that this is happening, "gentlemen" should immediately report these instances of slavery to the federal authorities. To do otherwise might not create legal liability, but it sure as hell makes those who look the other way morally and ethically complicit with slavery.

I would bet that it's a bit more complex than that. These women are probably terrified of being deported. I'll bet if you asked how they would feel about their place of "employment" being closed, they might not be 100% ecstatic about the proposition. I'd rather steer clear of these places entirely than face that dilemma.

DQ, please reread my post. I said I know about it from my WORK [now former work]. Meaning if *I* knew about it from reading reports generated from LE sources then LE ALREADY KNEW.

Eddy, get the bug out of your bonnet and google "Hudson County Human Trafficking" just for starters.

Here's one of the links if you can't figure out how to do that yourself.

Question my integrity... your an ass.

That's the last word I have to say on this because you don't deserve more or better.

The High Ranking LE, on my co-op board

This Fed, LE guy who I see at our monthly board meetings, as well as; hanging around the area, is not shy to brag about what he does for a living. He is now doing under cover work in the Asian community. His mission is to go after the AMP's who harbor minors, and are forced to work as sex slaves against there will.

He told me about his new detail over a year ago. He his home most days, I guess once every other week he goes to the office for meetings, and pick's up his pay check. When I ask him about his ongoing investigations with much concern and respect, his answer is always the same "You would not believe what is going on in these communities."

I shiver when I think about how many LE agencies are given fat budgets to fight these almost non existent crimes. Fat budgets that we all pay for. No different then the millions spent in the 60's and 70's to rid 42nd Street of the non existent child pornography trade.

Give me a break, a big shot like you should be able to produce something better then that garbage. It names no bar's, no owner's, no arrest's, no girl's, no facts. It is a typical media and LE fictional report. It grabbed headlines for a few days, but that does not back up your statements.

Last word because I don't deserve more or better? I simple ask you to back up what you said. You made some very direct and scary claims. Considering your secret agent status it should be easy for you to produce, arrests records, indictments, court fillings, something substantial to back up your claims of human trafficking in Ficha bars.

Listen, for God's sake, Thorn has credibility here because of his background, but even more because he's never been one to overstate or hype the information he gives us. I've disagreed with Thorn's interpretation before now, but never about his sincerity or his facts. EddyBear's high ranking cop acquaintance, OTOH, is unknown and bragging about stuff he shouldn't even be talking about.

It's not Thorn's job to go research past busts of ficha bars engaged in trafficking. What he's saying is plausible and I believe him. He's earned it that everybody else should.

Thorn is a bum, living of a fraudulent disability claim. His knowledge of the adult world is what he reads on the Internet.
