Lets see...a woman who SAYS one thing, then DOES another. How unusual. roflmao
A hookup? Maybe so. But its the woman who decides whether it will end up being a hookup or a date. My guess is that by the time she finished eating, she just didnt FEEL like having a hookup. It meant more to her self esteem to have a man buy her dinner and then call it a night. Her FEELINGS told her that she WANTED a DATE - so thats what she got.
BTW, shouldnt a 'dinner whore' be a woman who DOES fuck you after (before?) you buy her a meal??

just as an aside...i'm now convinced that dining with a lady prior to hooking up no longer seems advisable.

Dinner is a getting to know someone event, that's it. If you like each other then fuck but never fuck for a piece of steak. This is America and food is easy to come by. I would rather order Chinese and watch TV in the privacy of my own home if I am that hungry then lead someone one for a meal, it's crazy, IMHO.
Well think about it this way..... after you eat a nice full meal and being out for hours (I am assuming it was getting late) you get tired, sluggish. Its been proven that after lunch people work slower. So the odds if your out on a first date and shes stuffing her mouth (well besides being she might be a fat pig) the odds are against you that shes feeling frisky and ready to jump you for the first time. I mean sure I hope we have all been out to a nice dinner with our SO's past or present and came home to have a nice romp in bed but you do feel sluggish, filled, probably not feeling the sexiest and most horny... I think dinner is not the best choice. Drinks and something a bit more casual and on the fly...

It's a new courtship no matter how frank she was, anything could have happened to turn her off. Bad breath, BO, boogie's, farting,I know it's silly but people can be shallow. Maybe she got her period or acid reflux. I had an acid reflux attack on a date and ending up in the hospitial for three days. I am sure my date thought I was a "date whore" for running out before desert. I was so embarressed I never called him again after spending 1/2 puking in the bathroom before excusing myself. Shit happens.

It is a two way street. I have a laundry list of lies men have told me to just get laid and go away. Men make just as many excuses to get out of things as women do. She should have explained herself why she aggressively flirted and then blew him off. Does the diner even matter when it comes to leading someone on just to jerk them around? What I wan to know was she given a fair chance to explain her actions. if is was me I would demand an explanation. He does deserve to know why she went cold.
