And?
That's when you sit back, unbuckle your belt and jeans and watch some football or porn or whatever.

Your telling me you've never polished off a 16 oz NY Strip
Accompanied with a nice port or other after dinner drink, cigar and perhaps a slow sloppy BJ to put oneself to sleep

Be advised, unless you plan to run something like a marathon, fat is 9 calories/g vs protein 4 calories/g. So if the steak is as @Bricktop posted "fat content is insane" , say 25%+ fat, a 16 oz portion is going to be close to 2400+ calories not including some sort of beverage.

Somehow I don't think that "unbuckle your belt and jeans and watch some football or porn" is going to do it.

Wagyu beef can exceed 25% fat,

It's not only bloated/ In fact, I have never felt bloated. But it will give you serious diarrhea and gas pains. They are correct in the high heat, quick sear.

There is nothing tough or chewy about this fat as under the heat it just renders more into a butter. I had gotten a 4oz. piece for my wife for her bday a couple years back and we shared it. After cooking you simply cut it with your fork like a piece of cake. Completely different than any steak you have ever eaten. I wasnt a fan. She loved it.

Check out cote in k,-town Korean BBQ steak house. You can purchase a5 Japanese waygu, a5 Sendai , a5 Kobe, 100 day plus dry aged prime ribeye, gran cru galbi (short rib aged and marinated by the ounce. They cook it in front of you so toy can see marble/fat/color differences raw and cooked.
After typing this I now need to get back there. Maybe before the next party? (Not tomorrow the one after that)

It only becomes tough and chewy if you overcook.

Wouldn't all that fat make it chewy? rubbery?
You would think Billy but no. It’s almost like it cooks out and while it’s doing that the juices are flowing into the meat keeping it moist lean and great tasting. If you looked at dry aged steaks you probably wouldn’t eat it. Best dry age steak I ever had was at Teller’s it was a special over 30 days. Melted in your mouth. Fresh butcher I can’t eat the taste is so different.

That calorie count is like a McDonald's Happy Meal.

Look, I'm not condoning it. But I can eat a 16 ounce wagyu steak and still enjoy the BBBJ afterwards... ;-)

Okay, sarcasm is lost on the genius.

The large fries at Five Guys is a 1,314 calorie dish. Add a burger, that's 2,000 calories.
In N Out double double with cheese, side of fries and a shake: 1,635 calories
Large buttered popcorn at Cinemark: 1,380 calories

All I'm saying is that there are lots of high calorie meals out there that people consume without knowing it. Or blinking.

Agreed.

For kicks pop in to Walmart and take a look at the people shopping to see the results of not "blinking". I'd like to have the contract for maintaining the fleet of motorized shopping carts they have there.

Just to give you an idea on what it takes to burn off a 2000 calorie meal: if you are a 180 lb guy and do a modest speed run (10 min mile) you will burn around 125-150 cal/mile. Use 150.
So a happy meal w/burger will require just over 13 miles. That's 1/2 a marathon.
For a 2800 cal steak that's almost 19 miles (or 28 sessions of sex ). Maybe you have a side and a beverage.

So the steak meal is pretty much a full days calories for a reasonably active guy, i.e., a guy who doesn't sit at a desk job.
After that the calorie surplus from breakfast, lunch and maybe a snack goes directly into fat stores in this example, i.e., you get fatter.

So do as the Japanese do (non-sumo wresters anyway) and use a couple of thin slices to enjoy the flavor.

As I’ve aged I feel the effects of heavy of large meals. 6 or 8oz fillet is sufficient. The days of 24oz porterhouse are just a memory.
