I know Carmine's is corporate tourist, but I have to say...
The first time I went there, one person ordered lasagna, one chicken parmigiana, one shrimp fra diavolo.
I controlled myself, thinking, "Are you people kidding? These are dishes that any pizzeria can make and they're palatable," but I said nothing.
Know what...each dish was spectacular.
And huge.
And moderately priced.
That's why the line is out the door during popular hours.
And...their pasta Bolognese shuts down that of Becco.
Like crown of lamb...in the words of the internet, OMG.
Like eggplant parmigiana? Try ten layers. Fantastic.
Like Saltimboca? Go to a real Italian restaurant.
