Almost Robbed!
Visiting a couple stores for electronics I found myself in BayShore late evening. Driving by the LIRR parking lot I spot a petite, late 20's wsw (rare sight, couldn't pass up). She hops in and notices the big, but inexpensive object in my back seat asking if she could have it.
She says her name is Theresa (I think), I ask if she has a place, she replies yes but she will need a couple minutes to clean up once we get there. Drive down Union, turn onto Sunset Rd. (one of the nicer streets in BS area), and park in the short driveway (she suggested and it's only like 20' from the street in full view). She gets out says she will flash the house light when she's ready, opens door with a key (good sign) and enters the house.
20 minutes pass (omg) and I see a car drive past the driveway, turn around, drive past again, turn around again, and park on the street in front of the neighbors house (not obvious at all). Guy gets out and walks directly across the lawn to my car and tries to hide next to it (I have dark tint, he couldn't see me). I start my car and back out (right then she flashes the lights for me to come in), he runs back to his 2-tone burgundy (upper)/champagne(lower) Subaru(?) and I split.
IDK what the plan was, to rob me as I exited the vehicle (why suggest I park in driveway then), or they just got timing messed up, how could he expect me NOT to see him come over to my car?! In either case situational awareness was key.

Never go to any providers place.how people get robbed or worse. Ever!! Either your car or you take them to a motel room. If they getting snippy you throw them the fuck out and keep it moving. ask them to shut off their phones if they refuse to do so than there's an issue going on. Probability you're being followed so best to drop her and bounce. Also never ever have items in car which are up for grabs. Glad you got out safe though.
Any of ya recognize them? Looks like fake provider got caught.

Holy crap! Too many of these situations these days. I just barely escaped from the other two that got arrested in the Farmingdale Budget Inn. http://longisland.news12.com/story/41388756/police-2-accused-of-robbing-man-at-massapequa-hotel I replied to her ad last week the day before they got arrested, went to the Budget Inn room as she directed me, but once inside, she remained fully dressed and kept texting, making believe she was cleaning the room. I got nervous and dropped $50 on the cabinet and told her i changed my mind. It didn't feel right that she was fully dressed and was texting. Best to tell them no texting at all. I got lucky.
5AM shocked me too, but the guy could have been getting off work or going in early. There are provider postings at all hours of the night and early morning on various sites.
I hear ya, but I can't get comfortable in a car (I'm more concerned with LE than getting robbed, haha), motel would work though there are far more placed for thieves to hide. This neighborhood was surprisingly nice, neighbors must hate this house, all around it are in better shape.

Friend told me one tried to rob him and he had safety locks on in his vehicle(in md). He had a weird feeling as he noticed he was being followed. She tried to jump out with a dummy phone (no sim card but was tethered). Told her the phone or her eyes. She got snippy got maced threw her out. He Got phone back and and drove off. He drove back same road about 25 min later and saw the PD her and pimp leaning over car with cuffs on with another individual in vehicle leaning on hood cuffed. Apparently they were doing same thing robbing people. Karma!!!
Many years ago, there was a famous home in west Babylon that some of us seasoned mongers will remember. It was actually when I first started... infamous is more the word. Documented in a famous book called Lost Girls which highly details the end that became of this girls life as she became a victim of LISK.
Amber and her handlers were always cool with me... one of the guys would talk about music with me and telling me ‘have fun and have your way with her’. However with others what they did was talked about on this forum and others, you can find out in that book.

With this recent Massapequa arrest, it protects the identity and scenario of the person robbed. Which makes me wonder if they are a higher class or politically connected individual. It almost made it out like he met someone for casual sex when anyone with a rational brain & of course any of us could tell it was prostitution/escort situation, FWIW.

The cops know that with characters like these (the ones doing the robbing) they will only stop under perhaps just a couple of scenarios:
Scenario 1. Eventually there will arise a situation where they rob the wrong person and people get seriously hurt — perhaps involving high levels of LE involvement, e.g., crime scene investigators, body bags etc.
or
Scenario 2. The cops get involved, and since it is highly unlikely that these characters do no follow genius's "only break one law at a time" rule, LE will be able to find multiple numbers of reasons arrest them not involving publicly someone giving them a tip.
If a (ahem, otherwise) law abiding citizen tells LE what happened from the person who got robbed, LE knows that it is best acknowledge the help provided by said person and send him on his way.
