Pops, you got the right idea. Just because we are mongers -- well that is not all we are. Mongering is only a starting point. We, here, all gather because of that common interest or obsession. I have learned a lot from all the contributions on this board and of course a large part of it was purely mongering. But you guys have really helped me see that I am not an island. We all pretty much are the same but just appearing at different stages. There is mongering on all levels. One is purely as a release. Another is for love. I dare say another borders on spirituality of love. There are very ancient scriptures on sex and love making. The ancient religions knew that it was such a powerful desire and it can't be ignored so they incorporated it into religion.
The "Song of Solomon" in the Bible is extremely sensual. Tantra is based on control and manipulation of sexual energy. And the ancient Taoist priest had extraordinary control in bed and made a complete science of male and female orgasm and there were always foods and herbs to enhance and control pleasure. In India there are huge temples with ancient stone statues of men and women and concubines and orgies in every imaginable sexual posture. The "Kama Sutra" is a Sanskrit text -- ancient text devoted to the spirituality of sex.
I foresee as we all grow, eventually on this great UG forum it will be open to higher levels of spirituality through sexual experience. After all it is called "making love" and the tao states "because of great love, one is courageous." When one has great courage and complete fearlessness, he/she knocks on the door of immortality.
In society great shame is attached to sexuality. On this board, we all use aliases, of course, to protect our identities and we must go underground as prostitution is underground, but the ancients celebrated it, as it is celebrated in the jungle. From morning until evening and throughout the night it is one great theater of copulation. In this moment alone, copulation occurs trillions of times amongst every fathomable being in existence. And we as humans must go underground in shame. We are out of touch with nature who is absolutely unashamed. And so we fail to grow and expand.
This UG serves a great purpose. It allows us a great opportunity to share and express and perform our deeds so as we do not remain encumbered with shackles of guilt and shame foisted on us by society. Once we are free to express ourselves on the level of sexuality, that sexuality now has the ability to expand and grow to new heights starting in the bedroom and after we leave the bedroom, our joy should continue.
